Giving Back

The idea behind Girl Gone Wild has always been about making ‘eating wild’ an easy and delicious option at home. We have touched on the huge supply of wild venison and pheasant in the UK, but these meats hardly appear in large, or even independent, retail outlets - we’re talking supermarkets, high street stores or online-delivery services. In reality, they are usually eaten at a gastro pub or restaurant, with the bulk of supply being exported to areas of the world where they are more popular - racking up carbon mileage along the way.

As customer of Girl Gone Wild, you are already Giving Back by providing a home for some of delicious meat nearer their habitats (we don’t have to explain the importance of eating locally and seasonally - hence why our meals are frozen…).

However, we wanted to go a bit further; so we have pledged to give 10% of our profits, annually, to The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT). The Trust is a UK-focused charity, conducting conservation science to enhance the British Countryside for public benefit. It is so important to look after our British countryside and the rich, but often fragile, habitats from which venison and pheasant meats are sourced (gwct.org.uk).

Thank you for your support.
