Terms & Conditions

These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products to you, the customer, and by placing an order with Girl Gone Wild you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of sale.  The conditions of sale are in addition to, and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. 

We are Girl Gone Wild Limited a company registered in England and Wales.  Our company registration number is 13508056 and our correspondence address is: Unit 1, Jackson Court, Gallowfields Industrial Estate, Richmond, DL10 4FD.   All communications are to be made via our hello@ggwfoods.co.uk, or by calling 01748 322075, or by post to Girl Gone Wild Foods Ltd at the above address.

When we refer to ‘you’ or ‘your’ we mean user of the website and the purchaser of the Goods.

Placing an Order: our Contract with You

When you place an order, you will receive an on-screen confirmation of your order details.  Formal acceptance of your order is triggered once you are sent an email to the address given at checkout, whether or not it is received.  At this point a legally binding contract will come into existence between you and us.  You will be assigned an order number.

Signing up to our service means we must have the following information:

  • your address, including the billing address linked to your payment card

  • your home telephone number

  • your email address so that we can update you with important information relating to your purchase ie order confirmation and delivery communications

You must pay in full for the goods (including relevant delivery charges) at the time of placing your order.  Ownership of goods we supply will transfer to you, the customer, on receipt of all sums due. We do no hold your payment details from any previous orders, therefore every purchase at www.ggwfoods.co.uk shall require new payment details to be entered. It is your responsibility to keep your password secure.

The price of goods charged shall be as quoted on the website at the time you confirm your order with us.  Prices of goods do not include the delivery charge.

Price and availability of our products may be subject to change without notice, and individual product pricing is inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Cancelling or changing your order

We trade according to the UK Distance Selling Regulations, however, because our products are perishable the regulations relating to return of unwanted goods do not directly apply to Girl Gone Wild.  For more information, please go to www.dti.gov.uk.

If you wish to cancel or make changes to your order, please contact us at orders@ggwfoods.co.uk as soon as possible, and no later than 9am two days before your scheduled delivery date.  Any changes after this time may not be accepted.

Our Products

Changes to the Products/ Availability

Products may vary.  The images of products on our website are for illustrative purposes only, and although they are an accurate representation of each recipe our products may vary slightly from those images.

We may also change the product at any time to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements to make minor changes to recipes.  

We may correct any errors appearing on the website or withdraw any product from sale without incurring liability. 

Price and availability may also be subject to change without notice, however in the event a significant change is made subsequent to your order, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.  You may cancel your order in writing, and receive a refund.

Allergens

Our products are made in a kitchen which neither stores nor handles nuts, however does handle other potential allergens.  Our packaging labels and ingredients declarations clearly state the presence of any allergens in our recipes.  It is the customer’s responsibility to check all packaging for allergen declarations and relevant risks.  

Lead Shot

Wild meat is derived from wild (‘game’) birds and animals, which are shot for food.  In some cases, these birds and animals are extinguished using pellets or small balls made of lead (‘lead shot’).  Please see the Food Standards Agency website for full information on lead shot ahead of your purchase (www.food.gov.uk/safety-hygiene/led-shot-game).  Although all our products are non-ferrous metal detected, Girl Gone Wild clearly states on all packaging that our products may contain lead shot.  Therefore you, the customer, accept this as an inherent liability of eating wild (game) meats.  We cannot accept liability for any claims relating to either the discovery of lead shot residue within our products nor any perceived health impacts relating to the consumption of our products.

Delivery

Once we have received your order, your products will be dispatched the day prior to your requested delivery date.  This will be confirmed via email.  If you wish to change your delivery day, you must email us hello@ggwfoods.co.uk by 9am, at least two working days before your intended delivery day.

For deliveries to The Highlands of Scotland; our courier requires a two day delivery service and your meals cannot be dispatched over a weekend, so please select either a Wednesday or Friday delivery date. Your meals will be packaged appropriately for this longer transit time*.

If you have chosen to purchase a recurring subscription box this will be delivered on the same day of the week your first order was received.  If you wish to alter this, please contact us via hello@ggwfoods.co.uk.  Again, we need at least two working days notice ahead of your original delivery date.

Delivery of your goods may, occasionally, be delayed by circumstances beyond our control.  We cannot accept liability for any losses incurred, or for compensation for perceived inconvenience that may be suffered due to any delay but are here to help if we can, please contact us on hello@ggwfoods.co.uk as problems arise.

We will arrange for delivery of your products by the method and to the address provided at checkout.  However, the time for delivery will not be essential to the contract between us.

If you supply inadequate delivery instructions making it is impossible to deliver your products, we may be forced to cancel your order and you will not be eligible for a refund of the cost of goods.

Please also note that our delivery lead times stated at checkout exclude all Bank Holidays and weekends. 

*Finally, in enabling delivery to the Highlands of Scotland all customers will technically be able to select a two day delivery option via their DPD account. Please do not do this if you live in mainland UK; our Standard Terms & Conditions around delivery only apply to a 24 hour service.

Returns

If you are unsatisfied with any of our products, or any part of the delivery service from Girl Gone Wild, please drop us a line at hello@ggwfoods.co.uk or by phoning 01748 322075.  As we sell perishable goods, we ask that you – the customer – assess the food once you have opened your box and if there is a problem, please take a photo and contact us immediately.  We will be happy to discuss an exchange or refund on any item that does not meet our quality standards, at our discretion.  If you have been sent an incorrect item, please notify us as soon as possible and we shall send you the correct one as soon as possible.  You shall not be charged for the original (incorrect) item.
