Modern Slavery Statement

Girl Gone Wild has partnered with Althams Fine Foods Ltd for the manufacture of our products.  Althams Fine Foods Ltd is accredited under the British Retail Consortium Global Supplier (BRCGS) programme, and hold a top-ranking score (AA). 

The following ethical, modern slavery and human rights statement applies to the full scope of their activities on behalf of Girl Gone Wild.

Ethical Trading

The Policy of Althams Fine Foods Ltd is to ensure that we only purchase goods that are produced and delivered under conditions that do not involve the abuse or exploitation of any person or persons, and that such goods or services provided have the least negative impact on the environment. The ETI website will be used as a source of information.

All our employees have an obligation to take care for their own safety and for the safety of others who may be affected by acts of their omissions and for safe guarding the environment and society.

It is essential for the implementation of this policy that Althams Fine Foods has the cooperation and involvement of employees at all levels.

Modern Slavery and Human Rights

This sets out the standards and principles to eliminate modern slavery and human trafficking which Althams Fine Foods Ltd complies with.

1.      Child Labour: We comply with all national legislation regarding the employment of children. We do not employ any children under the age of 15, save as follows. If applicable national laws or regulations allow children between the ages of 13 and 15 to perform light work, such work is not permitted under any circumstances where it would hinder the child from the completion of compulsory schooling or training, or if the employment would be harmful to the child’s health or development. 

2.      Forced or Involuntary Labour: We do not make use of any forced or compulsory labour. We do not engage in human trafficking or exploitation, or import or use goods tainted by slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour or human trafficking. We shall not retain employees’ government-issued identification, passports or work permits as a condition of employment.

3.      Compensation and Working Hours: We shall comply with all respective national laws and regulations regarding working hours, wages and benefits. We shall ensure that employees are paid lawful wages, including overtime, premium pay, and equal pay for equal work without discrimination. We shall not make any disciplinary deductions from pay.  

4.      Workplace Equality: We shall not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, belief, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy, or maternity.  We shall treat employees with fairness, dignity and respect. We will not perform or tolerate any form of physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse, or victimisation or bullying, within our workforce.

5.      Freedom of Association: We shall respect the rights of employees to associate or not to associate with any group, as permitted by and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. 

6.      Employment Status and Right to Work ChecksWe shall only employ workers who are legally authorised to work in their location and facility. We shall ensure that we validate all employees’ eligibility to work status through appropriate documentation.
